of years, but it is only recently that we've joined together to
share these lands and waters, and their compelling stories, with
responsible tourists worldwide. We would like you to use this web
site to learn about The Great Waters, to plan visits here, and to
learn how you can help us care for the region so future generations
may enjoy the same quality experiences that we offer today.
Major attractions and destinations within The Great Waters are
organized along three themed trails named after their patron lakes:
the Lake Superior Trail, the Lake Michigan Trail, and the Lake Huron
Trail.
Choose a trail to explore from the navigation bar to the left.
You'll see information specific to the trail you've selected including:
- destination waypoints along the trail

Each trail has its own Information Center where you can browse
areas of interest. New categories and information items are added
on a regular basis, so be sure to revisit often to keep up with
the news. Also be sure to explore all three trails. Each has its
own character and special destinations.
In addition to the trails, we've organized The Great Waters information
around interest areas intended to help you satisfy your curiosity
and help you plan your visits most efficiently. Select the "Things
to Do" category in the navigation to the left to see the current
interest centers. Each center is updated regularly, and more interest
